Storm's story recently appeared on the front page of The Toronto Star- and ever since his - or her - parents have endured a firestorm of criticism for raising their child in a gender-neutral environment. Reporter (CTV) "There has been a lot of harsh criticism......people say the child is very young and you're sort of putting your own ideas onto the child before he or she can make a decision whether they are OK with those ideas." Storm's parents- Canadian couple Kathy Witterick and David Stocker-- say hiding Storm's sex is a tribute to freedom and choice. But a Fox News blogger counters... "What these parents are doing is prematurely assuming that their child may not make the right choices or the choices that 'it' makes would be significantly influenced by society...the parents are not giving the child a chance to develop any kind of identity."
